SIDO and Norwegian church Aid - Tanzania entered an agreement to empower VICOBA Women groups on business Management at one district of Singida municipal in Singida region.The VICOBA women group were oganized and are under the umbrella of Norwgian church Aid Tanzania. The agreement was to train 100 entrepreneurs' members of VICOBA and was divided into thee groups namely Farmers,Traders and Processors. SIDO conducted training to the selected members of VICOBA according to the agreement signed.
The training lasted for four days from June 06-09 2016. A total of 108 participants attended the pass and were women . Training was officially opened by Severina kilala Singida Municipal community Development officer on behalf of district Executive director .In her speech, she pointed out the importance of VICOBA Singida has contrintrbuted much to improve lifehood of the family like educating children ,building good house and income because of the many members are engaged to different economic generated income activities like processing , agriculture and trader.She thanks UN-Women and Norwegian church Aid -Tanzania for supporting the Singida VICOBA.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY.
The participatory approach used during the training session. Lectures brainstorming , games and question and answers were used during training session.These methods were used to enable participants to have fully understanding of knowledge and skill imparted to them because most of them were adults.
THE TRAINING PROGRAM ( SUBJECTS COVERED)
Under traning programme the subject covered and implemented are as follows:-
1. BUSINEESS MANAGEMENT
- Meaning of business.
- Types' of business.
- How to make decision on business you want to do.
- Why business fail/ die and challenges facing small business.
- Participants were also able to address the SWOT analysis in relation to their business and environment.
2. RECORD KEEPING .
- Participants learned the meaning and importance of keeping record in business.
- Participants were imparted with skills and knowledge on business record keeping (simple way of using primary books of accounts)
- Participants did exercises of recording data to primary book of accounts such as cash book,salesday book, purchase book etc,
3. COSTING AND PRICING
- Participants acquired skills and knowiedge on costing and price calculatios basing on conditions to be considered in both calculations.
