KIGOMA REGIONAL COMMISSIONER VISITED SIDO - KIGOMA
Kigoma Regional Commissioner, Hon. CGF (Mst) Thobius E. M. Andengenye, visited SIDO Kigoma to see various activities carried out at SIDO industrial Estate. During his visit, the Regional Commissioner was welcomed by SIDO regional manager, Mr. Gervas Ntahamba. He received some brief information on various projects implemented by SIDO in collaboration with women engaged in palm oil seed extraction activities in Kigoma
During his tour to the estate, the Honorable Commissioner was able to see palm oil seed drying plant owned by SIDO in collaboration with women engaged in palm oil seed extraction activities. The plant has capacity to dry 3 tons of seeds per hour. He also saw lots of waste obtained immediately after palm oil seed extraction was completed.
The Honorable Commissioner congratulated the operation Director of the Trolle Meesle Tanzania IVS Ltd Factory, Mr. Daniel Amulike, after receiving brief information about the Palm Oil Refinery Plant which is at it’s final stages of construction and expected to start production by April 2023
The commissioner also praised SIDO leadership on how they coordinate industrial activities and especially in empowering women entrepreneurs.
