Palm Digester is a machine that is used to release palm oil from the palm fruits by breaking down the oil-bearing cells. Hot water is added to aid the extraction. The mixture of hot water and oil pass through a perforated bottom plate while nuts and fibres are discharged through a side door. The machine can be driven either by electric motor or diesel engine. Motor driven machines are mostly used in urban where electricity is available and diesel engines are convenient and widely used in rural areas.
