BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, MARKETING MANAGEMENT AND ENTERPRENEURSHIP TRAINING- SINGIDA RURAL

SIDO Singida in collaboration with HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation conducted five days training to Vegetable growers of Singida Rural District. The participants of the training were 23 where by 15 were male and 8 female.The Objectives of the training was to provide the knowledge and skills related to business management and Enterpreneurships to repsentatibves of the groups.

Juice processing

The machine can be used to blend variety of  friuts to make juice, but also it can be used to blend garlic for making garlic paste and other spices.

VEGITABLE PROCESSING TRAINING - SINGIDA RURAL

The training conducted at Singida Rural where by 24 participants attended and 15 were female and 9 male. The products trained were

1.Tomato sauce.

2.Tomato Paste.

3.Tomato wine.

4.Onion processing.

5.Green leaf drying and TBS and TFDA regulation.

The training was organized by SIDO Singida and financed by NGO namely Helvetas  Swiss Intercooperation Singida Region. During the clossing ceremony Singida Reginal Manager Bi Shoma Kibende requested participants to use the knowledge received to produce quality products which can compete at market.

The training was conducted to 19 participants and all were female at Mkalama District (Nduguti). And participants were the representative of 19 groups of 4 wards. The products trained was

• Tomato wine.

TOMATO PROCESSING TRAINING - IRAMBA DISTRICT

The training was conducted at Iramba District and involved 18 participants where by 17 were female and 1 male. The training was funded by EU KUWAKI Program and implemented by SIDO Singida.

The main objective of training was to provide knowledge and skills related to tomato and vegetable processing to representatives of 12 vegetables grower groups at Iramba District. The training expected to reduce if not finish the problem of post harvest lost and increase income of groups.

The products processed during the training are -

1.Tomato sauce.

2.Tomato Paste.

FOOD PROCESSING training held in kigoa under staff from SIDO,The training concentrated much on production of various food products such as ,Tomato paste,tomato sauce,pea nut butter as well as fruit jam.Also training of packaging of the food products and entrepreneurship skills on marketing and pricing was taught to the trainees.
