VEGETABLE PROCESSING TRAINING.

Entrepreneurship activities are increasing by becoming more popular to many people especially in rural areas. Recently Sido Singida organized training on vegetable processing at  singida municipal. A total of 22 participants attended, 15 female and 7 male. The training aimed to impart skills on vegetable value addition to participants and help establisment of small vegetable processing industry.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT-FARMERS,TRADERS AND PROCESSORS-WOMEN MEMBERS OF VICOBA GROUPS.CONDUCTED SINGIDA MUNISPAL.

SIDO and Norwegian church Aid - Tanzania entered an agreement to empower   VICOBA Women groups on business Management at one district of  Singida municipal in Singida region.The VICOBA women group were oganized and are under the umbrella of Norwgian church Aid Tanzania. The agreement was to train 100 entrepreneurs' members of  VICOBA  and was divided into thee groups namely Farmers,Traders and  Processors. SIDO  conducted training to the selected members of VICOBA according to the agreement signed.

Ginger slicing machine is the machine manufactured to slice raw ginger, with the aim of reducing the drying time. The machine can slice 2 to 4 mm .

SALT PRODUCTION-DODOMA (KITELELA)

SIDO Dodoma incollaboration with Africare Dodoma- Center Zone organised a two days training to groups involved in production of salt at Kitelela Village in Dodoma Municipal. Due to time limited and shortage of officers they requested a Business Development Officer from Singida Municipal. The participants were 29 female and 4 male who are participants from three group Tupendane, Upendo 'B' and Lulu.

FOOD PROCESSING TRAINING- AMANI VICOBA(IGHOBWE)

SIDO Singida conducted 3 days training on food processing to Ighobwe Amani VICOBA at Singida Rural District.  The participants of the training were 11 male and 16 female attended. The objectives was to provide knowledge  and skills related to food processing technology and use the available raw  materials to produce finished products. And this will reduce post harvest loss of vegetable and frunts which lost during the harvesting season.

FOOD PROCESSING REFRESHER TRAINING-SINGIDA DISTRICTS

SIDO Singida in collaboration with HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation organised a one day refresh training to members of 4 groups of KUWAKI project on processing tomato sauce and tomato paste. The participants of the training were 5 female and 1 male from four groups which are Mandewa (Singida Urban), Family care (Iguguno Mkalama), Juhudi and Mjndami of Ikungi. The training aimed at reminding the participants on theprocedures of tomato sauce and tomato paste processing.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, MARKETING MANAGEMENT AND ENTERPRENEURSHIP TRAINING- MKALAMA

SIDO Singida in collaboration with the HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation conducted a nine days training the groups of farmers who were vegetable growers in the Mkalama district. The training participants included 14 male and 13 female. The training aimed at providing enough skills and knowledge which related to business management entrepreneurship skills whereby, it was presented to representatives of the groups.
