Entrepreneurship activities are increasing by becoming more popular to many people especially in rural areas. Recently Sido Singida organized training on vegetable processing at singida municipal. A total of 22 participants attended, 15 female and 7 male. The training aimed to impart skills on vegetable value addition to participants and help establisment of small vegetable processing industry. The training will help to reduce if not finish the problem of post harvest lost, increase income from adding value of raw tomato, grean leaf, and onions.
Under trainning proramme participants learned the following products,Tomato paste,Tomato sauce,Tomato chill sauce, Dried tomato,Tomato jam,Tomato wine, Onion drying,Fruit drying, Green leaf drying
The skills imparted to the participants will create new small industries, self employment and also reduce quality of tomato harvested wasted and this will finally lead to income generation that will contribute to family and regional income.
