
Sido Singida organized training to BIBI KWA BIBI group at Singida municipal, The group involved 6 retired women who have 22 orphan children depends on them. Training was conducted at Singida SIDO Region office. The training lasted for 3 days and a total of 8 participants attended icluding 6 female and 2 male. The training aimed to impart skills on bar and liquid soap making to member of group, the skills will help establisment of small soap making business and income be realized that will help serving their grandchildren's.
The participatory approach was used during the training session whereby practical, lecture, questions and answers were used. These methods used to enable participants to have fully understanding of skills imparted to them. Also the trainers insisted on doing business in a proffesional manners so that their business grow and make good profit.
THE TRAINING PROGRAM (SUBJECTS COVERED)
Under training proramme the subject covered and implemented are as follows;
- Methods used in making bar soap.
- Raw materials which are used in bar and liquid soap making
- Equipments which are used in making bar and liquid soap.
- Practical making bar and liquid soap
- Packaing and labelling
During closing the ceremony the guest of honor Mr Bravo Kizito - DED ( Singida Municipal) he requested participants to use skills provided them to establish small soap making industry to support effort of our president Dr John Maufuli on establishment of new industry and he promises to support group with Tshs 500,000 on purchasing machine. On her part, the Regional manager of SIDO Singida, Ms Shoma Kibende praised the participants to utilizing the skills imparted to them to increase their income and provide employment to themselves.
