SUCCESSFUL STORY OF VEKI INVESTMENT
Veki general Supply is the joint venture business between Vedastus Nganileva and Henry Kinyunyu located at Kihonda, Morogoro dealing with purchase of Sunflower Seeds from Small Scale farmers, process into Sunflower oil, pack and Sell to final Consumers
The Company was established 2007 with registration No. 147999 and started with only two employees.
The company had only one seeds expeller and one oil filtering machine install at Matumba with the capacity of processing up to 600litters of oil per day. The Company has annual turnover of 26,147,058 Tsh.
Through SIDO services VEKI has been able to expand his production and increases sells volume. In 2009 two of the VEKI employees received training on good manufacturing practices and business management. The business expanded and forced to employ other 6 workers to assist in operation and marketing.
VEKI was able to invest more by establishing another oil expeller machine at Kihonda Maghorofani where they captured more market. VEKI develop package with labels which represent the products well at the market.
2011 VEKI general supply open an outlet for sunflower oil distribution at Masika area. It established a quality system of the product to insure that products meet the consumer in good quality.
For the future, the company intends to raise the production capacity by doubling the current capacity from 600lts for 1 day to 1200lts per day by installing new oil extractor filtering machine and semi automatic packaging machine.
In 2015,SIDO linked the company to Infodev a company dealing with finding market for agro-processors in Agribusiness innovation center(AIC) while helped by SIDO to attain a HACCP certification which show a very high improvement in Hygienic performance in the factory hence start to export outside the country.
