BUSINESS FORMALIZATION - SINGIDA URBAN

SIDO Singida in collaboration with the Eastern and Southern Africa Universities Research Programme (ESAURP) conducted a five days training to SMEs of Singida region. the attended participants of the training  were 29 male and 59 female. The objectives of the training is to make the participants able to formalize their business, theirfore they were trained on the entrepreneureship and business management skills.

The approches used in the training sessions was; Lectures, Group discussion, excercise and presentation,brain storming and games and also Questions and answers. The aim was to enable the participants to have the fully understanding knowledge and skills presented explained and ellaborated to them.

The implemented subjects covered the following;

1.Advantages of being in the formal sector

2.Registering as a formal business.

3.Source of invested finance.

4.Accesing investment finance.

5.Calculation of interest.

6.Managing repayment of finance.

7.Maintain a bank account.

8.Obtain additional quasi-finance support eg. insurance.

9.Small business development.

10.Complies with tough business conditions.

11.Making recruitment of employees.

12.The management and leadership group.

13.Pricing and costing

14.Business and families.

15.record keeping (primary book of account)

Singida Regional Commissioner Dr. Vicent Parseko Kone who was the guest of honor at the official opening of the training advised the participants to use all the skills and knowledge provided to them so as they can be able to formalize their business.
