SIDO DODOMA WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH EMPLOYMENTS
Currently SIDO Dodoma in cooperation with Netherlands Development Organization (SNV) conducted training to youth where by SNV financed the training and SIDO Dodoma conducted the training. The objective of the training was to improve the livelihoods of the rural and pre – urban peope in Dodoma/Tanzania mostly youth.
The trainings equipped the youth in Dodoma with skills and knowledge that facilitated them to understand employments requirements and challenges both in various organizations as we as self employments. Through the trainings, youth were able to undertake their own SWOT analyze based on their environments, setting priorities & sections of close friends with similar missions/view/plans, setting strategies toward achieving their goals, systematic record keeping for performance analysis & review toward sustainable developments.
Also they have trained on importance of knowledge sharing among themselves, information seeking regarding their undertakings that will enhance continuous learning for sustainable developments. Through continuous learning and innovations business will survival within the global competions.
To date, the youth have formed nine groups, with total of 72 group members dealing with leather products productions, poultry husbandry and Agricultural productions. Group members have realized potential of SIDO in both rural and urban in Tanzania main land, and have declared that they have stayed poor for long time while development was on their own hands.
